I fractured the cuboid bone in my foot. Oddly, it's my ankle that hurts not the top of my foot. Anyway it's stable and doesn't need a cast. I'm wearing one of those elastic sleeves over my foot and ankle for support and compression. The doctor gave me a shot of an anti-inflammatory, told me to take it easy, take Alieve, and come back next Friday.
What?
No good drugs?

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I always knew it was a bad idea to vacuum. But if you insist on risking it, perhaps you need to get an OSHA sofa on which to stand. ;-)

Dang--the foot has way too many bones to break. As a gymnast's mom, I know to watch out for feet(toes) and hands. You don't think it's a big deal, but there's a lot in there to damage. Take it easy and NO more vacuuming. Maybe Champ can be trained...

Well you may not need a cast but you definitely earned yourself a page in the Courtney hall of fame. Congrats! Love you and I hope you feel better. So where's the pic!!Ha!

I'm glad you don't have to get a cast. Those things are awful. Be sure to follow those doctor's orders and take it easy!

From my history, I have to insist you get an MRI of the entire foot, just in case. You don't know if you may have torn tendons unless you get one.
Good luck with it.
Frozen veggies are good. I bought several of the gel packs that you can heat and freeze. It's always there when I need it. If you can't find them I can get one from my chiro and send it to you.
Getting old is so much fun, isn't it.

The cuboid bones are in front of your ankle.
