I was in an East Bay Street art gallery with a friend one afternoon looking at nice but expensive unoriginal paintings of magnolias, marshes, and Rainbow Row when I heard a woman say, "Look, Honey! Wouldn't this one look great over the sofa in the living room?" I looked at my friend and said, "It's bad enough that many Charleston galleries sell tourist art. Now they sell sofa art."
My sister saw this t-shirt in a Hilton Head gallery before I did but once I saw it I whipped out the Visa card and bought it.
[You know the drill. Click on it.]
If someone is willing to buy me two glasses of wine ahead of time I'll wear the shirt to the next French Quarter Art Walk.
Fun!
The only time I did the art walk it was so crowded I coudn't stand it. :( I'd get cramped in a corner behind people crowding the cheese dip and it made me want to scream and run.

I'll go in halfsies with someone, only because I know you have decent taste and I'd like to afford a glass for myself.
Joan, you only need to scream once, most people back off quickly.

I'd go in half with you Heather. I so totally agree with all of the 'sofa' art that's being sold downtown. Great T-shirt!

No can do from here in c-ville but I will raise my glass to you twice. How's that for incentive?

My "art" does match my sofa--but it's not really art anyway.

Love that :) I never thought of the sofa thing before but then, i'm not even close to being an expert on art.
