I love this dog

I promise not to bug you with puppy posts but from time-to-time I won’t be able to resist it.  I always said that if I ever had another dog it would have to be able to ride in my truck without sweating bullets like Psycho does and without throwing up like one of my dogs used to do.

So far Champ is almost the perfect traveling companion.  He rides in my lap for the first few miles and then curls up in the passenger seat and sleeps like a well-behaved baby.  I’d like it better if he stuck his head out of the window and let his tongue flap in the wind, but I’ll settle for sleeping.

We went downtown today hoping to meet dog-loving women.  Champ was spooked by the city traffic since he’d never seen that many vehicles before.  He wanted me to pick him up and carry him but I told him to just tough it out.  As expected, every woman stopped to make over Champ.  I must be losing my touch because I came home without any phone numbers.  (In my defense, most of them were sporting wedding rings and Mikey refuses to go there.)

This was just a trial run.  We’ll try again later.

BTW Seuss, you’ll never see a puppy poop post here.

What a cutie ..... if I met the two of you out and about I'd be all over him as well! I really hope Psycho will be OK and home soon - I've had a cat with urinary track trouble and it is very unpleasant and dangerous. Lucky he has a great dad who got him in for care in good time. And finally, a belated Happy Birthday.

Nice photo, Mike. Cute puppy. I wish I could get a shot of my Barney like that--but he's a bit too hyper for many good photos. They all turn out blurred! I have hopes that he'll settle down soon.
