Last year developers ripped out the woods on the other side of the 15th fairway to make room for half-million dollar houses. While I miss the woods (and the deer that ate my grass every night so that I didn't need to mow it so often), I can't complain. Every new house raises the value of my humble abode.
The whole process has been fascinating. Instead of cutting the trees down with chainsaws and grinding the stumps, the developers used a big-ass machine that ripped the trees out of the ground. I'm talking about 50' pines, oaks, and cypresses. Not saplings. And instead of burning the trees, today they brought in an industrial-strength chipper.
A tree went in one end and mulch came out the other.
Now I know why the feds have never found Jimmy Hoffa.
Reminds us of Fargo! LOL

Wow! To think Jimmy Hoffa turned into mulch in someone's yard!
