One Happy Daughter. One Relieved Dad.

Oldest daughter just called from New York. She has an apartment! It's in Battery Park City, just one subway stop from the Art Institute. Fancy building (with doorman), fancy rent (but what the hell, it's an adventure). She's flying back to Charleston this afternoon. As soon as I get back tomorrow I'll get the rest of the details. I'll see the place, and meet the roommates, when we fly back up there on Thursday.

I know the area fairly well. It's by the WTC and Winter Garden on the Lower West Side and just across the street from the hotel I usually stay in when I'm in NY. By NY standards, it's safe. :-)
