Apple urges Mac users to use anti-virus software. In fact, use two different anti-virus programs.
I've used Intego VirusBarrier X5 for a year now. It has never found a virus. Is that because I've never been infected or because it's missed something?

I'm sure my kid with the Mac is using nothing and will probably get burned by it. She wouldn't listen to me about anti-virus stuff; she knows everything, of course.

Phooey!
Why don't they tell us to do something useful like buy some software that would beat some sense into Adobe?
Fifteen years of Mac ownership (plus having two in constant use at my day job) has never coughed up a single virus in all that time. Mom got a spyware catcher and all it did was reset Safari and kill my copy of the Live365 player.
