There's a guy from Lexington driving west on US 60, and a guy from Louisville driving east on the same road.
In the middle of the night, right in front of the Graefenberg Baptist Church, with no other cars on the road, they hit
each other head on. Their cars go flying off in different directions.
The UK fan manages to climb out of his car and survey the damage. He looks at his twisted car and says, "Man, I am really lucky to be alive!"
Likewise, the UofL fan scrambles out of his car and looks at his wreckage. He, too, says to himself, "I can't believe I survived this wreck!"
The UK fan walks over to the UofL fan and says, "Hey, man, I think this is a sign from God that we should put away our petty differences and live as friends instead of arch rivals."
The UofL fan thinks for a moment and says, "You know, you're absolutely right! We should be friends!"
The Wildcat fan says, "Great! Now I'm gonna see what else survived this wreck."
So he pops open his trunk, where he finds a full, unopened bottle of Makers Mark. He offers it to the Cardinal fan, Saying, "I think this is another sign from God that we should toast to our new-found understanding and friendship."
The UofL fan says, "You're right!" He grabs the bottle and starts sucking down Makers Mark, with the fervor of a man who has just found new life.
After putting away nearly half the bottle, he hands it back to the UK fan and says, "Your turn!"
The UK fan twists the cap back on the bottle and says, "Nahh, that's all right. I think I'll wait for the cops to show up."
