I just saw this SC poll result on Fox News:
Edwards 21%
Kerry 17%
Sharpton 15%
Clark 14%
Dean 9%
Lieberman 5%
Undecided 18%
I hope I got those numbers right, since I was scribbling them down before they disappeared from the TV screen. (It's an American Research Group poll and their website doesn't show them yet.)
No doubt we'll see more results later when the rest of the pollsters ride into town with the circus Wednesday morning, but these numbers are very different from those in the last poll, taken by SurveyUSA January 11-13. It said:
Dean 25%
Clark 23%
Edwards 17%
Sharpton 12%
Gephardt 6%
Lieberman 5%
Moseley-Braun 4%
Kerry 2%
Kucinich 1%
Undecided 5%
If the latest poll is close to being accurate, a few things are obvious:
Lieberman is toast.
Dean is in big trouble.
Clark's southern roots don't mean much.
Sharpton still has a slim shot at being a player come convention time.
Edwards and Kerry will be on the ticket in November. Don't ask me who the headliner will be.
I agree with your analysis. Kerry has been all over the place today. Media must think he is a show in... now that Dean put his mouth in it.

You know, I saw Edwards in person when he came to my campus to sway the mindless minions. He's absolutely the most socialist weirdo that I've ever come across. If he and Kerry end up on the Democratic ticket with each other, I can say with dismal certainty that Bush will have four more years.
Dean's policies at least kept the Libertarians and temporarily ex-Republicans happy. Edwards is so incredibly left, well, I simply cannot vote for him.

I just report and speculate. I'm not planning on voting for any of these bozos.
